she has not wanted to eat for last 24 hrs but I insisted and she tried.  She went out and ate grass this am  She has to be forced away from her 1,  now 3 day old pup to go potty and is frantic to get back to it  did not poo yesterday.   Now has vomited her meal of 2/3 slice cheese (all i could get her to eat) and because of her shivering I gave her 1 tsp honey and it came up with the cheese. She drank alot of water  at one time also   what might be going on.  Pup nurses then sleeps she has milk in her teats.

Hi Jane. I'm concerned about the shivering. It could be a calcium deficency. Get her to the vet for a check up, that's the best advice I can give for now, especially if it is a calcium problm, the vet can give her a quick shot and she'll feel much better. as for the wanting to stay with her puppy, that's normal. The puppy is very young yet, and most mothers don't want to leave them. You may have to force her to go out to potty for a while yet.
