hi, i have a BIG important question! how old dose a female dog have to be to stop breeding? ALSO how old dose a male have to be to STOP breeding? thank you so much!!

Hi. It depends on the dogs. I wouldn't breed a female past the age of 6, I personally quit by age 4, 5 at the latest. This is just my own personal thoughts. If your girl has already had a few litters, or had a really rough time with whelping, then I'd go ahead and retire her. The male can be bred for a lot longer. As long as his sperm is still good, and his in good condition, then there really isn't an age limit.
