pet questions

hi, can you please help me? im from the middle-east, and im going to america this summer, im an animal lover so i would really like to see some pet shops, dog shows or anything realated with animals. Can you please name me some places in chicago or L.A. , since ive never been there?

I wish that I could be of more help to you, but I don't live in either city. I do have some advice to give you though. I would hope that you don't go into pet shops. At least don't be fooled into thinking that the animals are well taken care of, because 99% of the time they aren't and they don't come from good breeders. I tell everyone I know to not buy animals from a pet shop. If you can find a dog show to go to, go. They are an awesome place to get info, and they know all about pet shops and they will NEVER sell a puppy to one. Other than that I would visit Three Dog Bakery, and the Humane Societies and Shelters. I wish I could give you more help on the subject, but if you ever come to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada I can tell you the best places to visit., Thanks for your question and I hope you will have a good time visiting North America.
