My Min Pin is not eating

Hi there,

  I got myself a Min pin, 6 weeks old going 7 weeks this mon. The breeder advised me to give his meal very small amounts twice a day, dry food soaked with water. He ate his first 2 meals clean. Then I thought of giving him milk (only for dogs). And he took a sip and never looked back. I managed to get him to eat the dry food (not soaked). And that was his last meal till now. He didn't eat anything last nite and this morning. And he vomited some white stuff this morning. And his shit is becoming green. Should I change his meal ? I have no idea what to give him and I don't dare to try anything fancy.

  Please advise.

Hi,

If your puppy is still not interested in food and if his poops are still green, I would strongly advise that you rush him to the vet.  

The vet can examine the situation and give him something to calm his tummy.  He may have had an allergic reaction to the milk or he may still be too young to be able to properly digest the dry food without liquid added to it. He may have had a bad reaction to any vaccinations he received recently or he may have a puppy illness.  

It is always better to be safe than sorry.  

If your puppy has an illness that was related to the original litter, then the breeder is responsible for the vet bills and may even be required to take the dog back, if you so desire.
