Pleaze advise me if they make goode pet for family of me.

Answer
Labs are known for their good nature and usually are good with kids.  Some of them can be strong willed and hard to train.  As a first dog, you might do better with the closely related Golden Retriever.  They do take lots of brushing, but that will keep the kids out of mischief.  The Golden will love the attention.  Labs take lots of brushing to control their shedding.

I like bigger dogs like Labs and Goldens for kids.  They are big enough to enjoy the tumbles that might injure a smaller dog.

Consider the animal shelter.  There are many nice dogs, and you can see how
they look with little or no grooming.  You can also see how they behave.  You are more likely to find one that looks like a Lab than a Golden.  Sometime they even have purebreds complete with papers.  If the face isn't quite right for a Lab, and the tail curves up too much, it may mean the dog is part Chow, often a poor choice with children.  Don't take the children with you.  They may fall in love with a dog that is a poor choice.

Look for dogs that want your attention, but are not going wild. Leave the ones that retreat to the back of their cage.  Look at their teeth.  Look for ones that
still show a 3 lobed, clove like pattern on the front ones.  Leave the ones
that fight letting you look at their teeth too much.  If the points are worn
off the teeth, it is an older dog that may break your heart by dying too soon.
Pinch the web between its toes.  It hurts.  It is OK for the dog to pull away
or whine, but it shouldn't growl, snap or show its teeth.  Starting with an older dog avoids many of the problems of raising a puppy.  Since the shelter likely will kill most of the dogs, you may as well pick out a nice one.

Once you get a dog, come back and I will help you as much as I can.

You are right, maybe I should list myself under Labs.  I guess when I started here, I didn't want to spread myself thin, and only listed myself under the general dog area.
