Answer
Hello Nicole, I understand your problem.  My first suggestion is to take him to a good groomer, There is a program out there called the Shedless treatment.  It is a combination of solultions and tools that reduce shedding a great deal.  If your groomer is not familiar with it a through comb out by a professional is still advised.  Then once you get a head start then you can maintain it at home.  By...twice to three times a week a through comb out and brushing.  Use a universal slicker bursh, this brush is curved and it is so much eaisier to use than a flat brush.  Then using a metal comb, comb through the coat insuring you are getting down to the skin.  The biggest problem with home groomers tends to be that they top coat brush their dogs and do not get all the way down to the skin.  Start with an area and finsh it before moving on.  There is also a product on the market, it is a supplement for the dog, you can put it on their food.  It it called NO Shed.  If you need help finding the correct tools here is a website to help you.  Petedge.com  You can find everything you need there from tools to shampoos.  Again let a professional groomer do the hard work first and then you can eaisly maintain the brushing. If you do this in addition to adding a supplement you will notice a drop in the shedding.  Good luck, Cindy Lou :)
