dog new habit

what may our dog be lacking when she has started licking carpet & laminate flooring?

Answer
If most of her calories are coming from a commercial dog chow, likely it isn't diet related.  If not, switching to one migh help the problem.  

Otherwise, try enriching her life.  If she is home all day by herself, try to give her a mid day break.  Doggy day care is good too.  if she have been obedienced trained, go on to advence d obedience or agility.  There is also flyball, dock diving, free form dancing, earthing, field trials, etc.  Even 5 minutes of brushing every doay might help.
