Question
What do I need to supplement my nursing yorkie mother's food with?  She is on pet vitamins and puppy food already but it seems like she is getting awfully thin.  Also, she doesn't seem to be interested in her dry food at all even though she has access to it all times.

Answer
Hello, My sisters yorkie had a litter this summer...she fed her normal food and she id well but as well lost some weight but gained it back quickly after weaning the litter. A good quality puppy kibble offered dry or soked in hot water and offered once cooled is strongly reccomended you need not add vitamins if the food is complete and of good quality. You can add a boiled egg now and then for protine or bits of cooked meat that contain no bones and are not salted or spiced. Some dogs are genrally very picky she may simply not like the brand of kibble being offered.
