Question
We have a precious 2 year old Ig named Squigy.  She has been so loving and so good for our family.  I have a chronic illness and we cuddle a lot!
We have always known that she was a cuddler, and a sleeper.  However, lately she has been almost hibernating-only waking if we move her and to do her business and eat and drink.  She hasn't been eating as much, doesn't seem as playful.  Also, we noticed a lot of bruising that we have never seen on her before and don't know where it came from.  She has always had tremors-or seizures.  She sleeps 20-22 hours a day.  Stays under the covers a lot-she shivers if it is not 75 degrees in the house.
At her last check up several months ago she was o.k. Is it possible that she may have anemia? cancer? autoimmune? Should we call the vet?
Thank you,

Answer
Hi Crystal,  Yes I would definitely take her to the vet.  IGs have very delicate immune systems, and can get sick fairly easily.  I wouldn't hesitate too long because if they stay sick too long it can be hard to pull them out of it.  Hope this helps,

Dawn
