hips

Question
Recently i have noticed my 10 yr. old german shepherd have problems controlling his back hips or legs.He will be walking fine when all of a sudden his back legs give out and losses his balance. Some cases worse than others.
Hoping it is not hip displacement he seemed to be fine until recently.

Hi Chris!
I'm afraid this may be bad news. German Shepherds are known for hip dysplasia. The only way you will know for sure is to take him to a Vet and have him X-rayed.  I'm very sorry, I wish I could have a more positive answer, but this sounds serious. Please do not hesitate to have him checked.
