oh and is it true if water gets into his ears he becomes deaf?!?

Answer
Ok, One thing at a time :)/ The upset tummy could be from changing his food. The first thing you should do is contact your local newspaper, many times their found ads are free. The second thing is check with local radio stations, they also often offer free lost/found ads. Then take him to the vet for a checkup. He will not go deaf if you get water in his ears, however if you bathe him put a small bit of mineral oil in his eyes and ears to keep soap out. You also might want to check with area vets to find out if anyone has reported him missing. And you should have a local no kill shelter. Meanwhile, get him a decent quality dog food (not something you buy at Wal mart or the grocery store) from a pet store, they'll help you get a good dog food. He should eat twice per day. Take him out to potty every couple of hours,. Try putting him in a small area, like a bathroom or laundry room or kitchen where there is no carpet with some paper down when you' aren't home. Limit his access to the rest of the house until he is used to you and is going potty outside. Teary eyes are normal for chi's and nothing to be concerned about unless there are other symptoms. feed him early in the morning and late in the evening. Be sure you take him outside after he eats, sleeps and drinks water. You're doing great and kudos to you for saving this little guy.I have a feeling you'll find his owner soon,
