breastfeeding sick pit think pups maybe sick

my pitbull whose appr.55-60 lbs. has 3 week old pups and in the last week she started having diarrea. I noticed some blood in the stools now today i was looking at the pups and three of them are not energetic or interested in feeding. i litterally held there mouthes open squeezed the milk in and they still arent really interested. they dont seem themselves and are definently not gaining like the other pups. i dont have the money to take them all to the vet but i cant sit here and let them die i havent seen any bllod in the pups stools but im really worried. what do i do?

Hi Arlene,

New pups are quite fragile, if they aren't feeding, have diarrhea, and are also act lethargic, it's not a matter of needing to hand feed the pups, it's a matter of life and death.

Your pups are in dire need of a veterinarian. Call local vets until you find one who will let you pay the bill off over an greed upon period of time, or contact your local animal shelter or Humane Association to see if there is a reduced cost veterinary clinic or veterinary assistance programs in your area.
