UTI?

Hi our ten-twelve week old puppy (mutt) has recently started to ooze a yellow puss from her urethra (lovely I know).  I notice it as and after she urinates. We are very concerned, please help.  Thank you Shelley!

Thank you for writing to me.

I am extremely concerned about your young and therefore very delicate puppy.  Normally I would give a list of holistic things to administer but I believe that this infection has gotten to a crucial stage and should be treated by a vet and immediately!

This must be extremely painful for your puppy.

Please take your dog to the vet in the morning.  In addition to the antibiotics, you can administer cranberry from the health food store.

If you don't have this treated immediately, your puppy can become very ill and there can also be scare tissue development. This infection can travel into the kidneys and other places.  This seems serious to me.
