dog vs pup

I have a male cross Siberian  husky/Alsatian(Simba) who is 4 yrs old;  my husband has brought home an  Alsatian male puppy( Rocky) of  two months.  Simba attacked Rocky the  moment he laid eyes on him.  How do we get the two to live
together?

I have seen this.  By 4 years old many adult dogs want nothing to do with puppies, their sharp little teeth, and biting games puppies love.  We have presented our Aster with 4 new puppies in 3 years since she came to live with plus plus visits from a half dozen or more.  She really hates it when we have 2-3 hellions in the house at once.  Sometimes our puppies get to plague visiting older dogs.

Do not leave them alone together.  Discourage them from approaching each other.  The key to most behavior problems is approaching things using the dog's natural instincts.  Dogs see all the people and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in the pack and a top dog.  Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members outrank the 4 legged ones.  You can learn to play the role of top dog by reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with a treat. If you are top dog, then you have the right to introduce a new pack member and insist all the other pack members accept it.  

This was a real attack, hackles raised, nose wrinkled, and low growls?  Some times it is hard to sort out rough play and a real problem.
