my dog has dandruff

ok my dog is as old as me 13 years and she has dry skin on the back of her. it bugs her alot and it bugs me when she scratches all the time! do u know of a household product i can use to heal the dry skin. it would be a lot easier if you could help me, but i need a hosehold product that will not hurt old dogs and not something i can buy. thank you for your time and if u can i need an answer as soon as possible.

Dry skin is either due to a poor diet, parasites, or a low thyroid. I don't know of anything you might find around the house. You could try putting a fish oil capsule (from a health food store) on her food every day and see if that helps. Check her for fleas and other creepy-crawlers.
