Question
Hi, I haved a 8 week old 4 lb Yorkiepoo mix pup she is black with a black nose. She has a small lump the size of the (o) on my keyboard on her nose it is the same color and texture as her nose it does not seem to bother her. She was vet checked a few times before I got her with her dew claw  removal and docked tail 1st shots etc. I was wondering what this could be since it is bothering me and I will not get to the Vet until later next week. I had not noticed it until I got her home. It is not ozzing , dry, lumpy or cracked. ??  What could it be and can it be removed? It does look terrible.

Answer
Hi Ingrid.
It could be several things. one of which is just a natural mole, that is benign, and no problem, or it could be a little tumor.
My little Lhasa has tumors pop up in several places a lot. He is 9 years old, and none of them have been serious, just innocent little tumors.
If it is a tumor, it could be removed and if not cancerous, will be no problem.
If it is just a little mole, I wouldn't bother with it.
Call it a beauty spot. lol
I don't think it is something that is going to drastically affect her in the next week and a half, unless it starts to grow significanlty.
Since it does not look like a serious thing ( noo oozing etc). I would just bring it to her Vet's attention when you take her in for the second round of her puppy shots.
If it starts to change in apearance, call her Vet and ask what he/she thinks should be done.
