I have a 9 week old American bulldog and how do I get him to stop nipping?

It is still too young to train. This is common behaviour in pups and part of their grwoing up. You will need to be prepared to deal with this for the moment and gently train him as he grows - suggest around 5months.  For now the best thing would be to give him a few different types of chewy toys.
