black/purple bald spot

My 6 month old boxer has a bald spot that is blackish purple on her back. Its been like this for 2 months now and i wish it would go away. She doesnt  seem to lick it or naw at it. I have no idea what it could be. Can somebody please help me.

This could possibly be a type of fungus.  You can buy an over the counter anti-fungal cream and try it.  If it's not a fungus, it won't hurt your dog to use it, but if it is,then it will clear it up.  Rub some of the cream on the spot every day for about a week and see if there is any difference.  You can find this in the section of your drug store that sells foot products.  Just buy the genereric brand. If you can't find it, ask your pharmacist. Just tell him what you want it for and he can direct you to the right product.   If this doesn't work, then I suggest a trip to your Vet.
