english bulldog markings

I have a 6 month female english bulldog when i first got her about 4 months ago she had these bright brown markings on her back since i really couldnt take her when i first got her her spots were really bright im noticing that since i take her a lot more and she is exposed to the sun one of the spots is beginning to get lighter is this the sun or a nutrion issue

Hi Juan,

A puppy's coat changes, starting at around 4 months of age, but it can start later than that. Since your puppy is now 6 months old, it's not unreasonable to think that his coat changeover is still in progress.

Some dogs get lighter, some dogs get darker. Usually it's not a dramatic change, they don't go from white to black or anything like that, but they definitely can change. Sometimes markings will change in size or positioning, or some different hue will appear in the dog's coat.

So your puppy is normal, don't worry!
