compatibliity

Question
My friend has an older male boxer (had it about 2 years)and is now thinking of getting a male hairless crested, about a year and a half old. Do you think these two would be compatible?

If they are both neutered it will be better, however, boxers cannot be with other boxer males, but I have known a male boxer that will tolerate other types of male dogs, but it is unusual and I would be very careful,  One bite and the crested could be dead.  Why not get a female, there would be a better chance for that combination.
