HI,
My family adopted a 13 week old lab mix puppy from a shelter 5 days ago. She sleeps a lot and does not play at all with anyone. She loves to be petted, and rolls over at your feet to have her tummy rubbed. How normal is it for a puppy to not want to play? She has also started snapping at the kids when they pat her, unprovoked. Is this a precurser for a biter? Thanks.

Some puppies are very calm and do not play at all-it really depends on the personality of the dog

As for the snapping,take her to a trainer right away as this could have the potential to become a dangerous situation-it's good to take her to the trainer so they can see the problem and deal one on one with her and you
