nursing bitch being sick

my collie cross has a litter of 6 five days ago and for the past day she it being sick after she eats she is keeping water down and i havent noticed the pups any more hungrier is this normal? i am feeding her high quality puppy food.

Hi Rachael,  have you been giving her a calcium supplement?  If not, you need to as the puppy food won't have enough calcium in it for her to be able to feed the puppies.  If she gets any sicker you need to get her into the vet to make sure she isn't getting eclampsia, which is when the body isn't producing calcium to sustain her and feed the pups.  This is very life-threatening and can kill her fast.  I would get some calcium tablets from the pet store as soon as possible.  Keep an eye on her and if she shows anymore signs of sickness don't hesitate to get her in as they will need to give her calcium via IV.   Hope this helps,
