Rott/Cocker puppy

Question
Hi,

I have a 5 or 6 month old Rott/Cocker puppy, he is a really great little guy.  He is very smart, and I am planning on taking him to obedience classes and maybe flyball/agility too after he is neutered (after Christmas).  He is not growing very quickly, and I don't know how big he will be - is there a age when he will stop growing? or a way to estimate his size? since one parent was really big and the other wasn't big at all it is hard to tell - right now he is the size of a cocker.  Also, I am wondering if he will calm down some after he is neutered and as he gets older (and with some extra training) so that he will be more manageable and less chaotic. Thanks for any info you have =-)

Answer
Usually it takes a female dog a year to be fully grown, and a male up to two years, although in the first year there actually size is finished, they just tend to fill out more-there is no telling how big he'll get but I would guess around 50 pounds or so

And Generally neutered dogs are easier to handle ect because they are not as aggressive and aren't looking for females
