Pit Bull vs Weimaraner

Question
I have two female Weimaraner, Mom and Daughter.  I have recently moved in a 3 year old female pit bull. The 3 year old (Daughter) Weimaraner and the pit bull are not getting along.  They are fighting usually when each of them come face to face.  Also when either of them are with there owner.  When we go for walks they are fine.  If we are showing either of them attention and the other comes near they get very aggressive with each other.  Could you please tell me how I can resolve this issue!
Thanks!

Answer
Hi Tracy,

Having all female dogs always brings on more aggression issues than having all males, or males and females.

It's probably best for you contact a dog behaviorist or trainer live, and in person, and have him or her evaluate your dogs (and you) since you've no doubt have tried to remedy the situation on your own, but have been unable to.

If just reading about how to fix the issue worked, you probably won't be having the problem now. Until you get a handle on things, it would help if the aggressive dog (whichever one it is) wore a basket style muzzle. Basket style muzzles are very humane, they allow a dog to breath freely, pant and drink water.

Best of luck,
Patti
