Question
QUESTION: Whenever my husband tries to pick up my girl yorkie she runs away from him to the bedroom and hides under the bed. Sometimes she pees. He has never hit her or been rude to her but thats what she acts like. My male maltese sits down and pees when my husband walks over to him. My question is why are they acting like this and what can i do to fix this problem?

ANSWER: Hi, Katrina,

I'd like to get some additional information from you first before providing an answer.

It seems very strange that they would act like this if they had grown up around your husband.  Have these dogs been around your husband since they were puppies?    How old are they now, and have they acted like this all their lives?

QUESTION: No me and my husband just got married two months ago and dated only a few months . My girl yorkie is two years old, and my male maltese is one year old. They have always been a little shy but not to this extreme. I also have a male yorkie that loves my husband he is three. They play all the time and he shows alot of love to my husband. My girl yorkie likes to play fetch with my husband, but is skittish any other time he is around. I dont know what to do. I want them to all like him. Just yesterday my girl got out of the yard and wouldn't respond to his calls, I had to leave work early to come home and make sure she was safe and not lost. She came immediately to me, when my husband has been looking for over an hour. Thank you for responding. Please help, with my two dogs stubbornness.

Answer
Perhaps you should start having your husband become the "sole provider" for the female.  Let him be the one to feed her, play with her, walk her, do all the things that she likes.  Leave any discipline or correction to you to handle.  Give him every opportunity for her to see him as her friend.  Have him carry treats around and toss them/give them to her randomly throughout the day.

She should eventually start coming around.  Maybe he should take her to an obedience class so they can bond and learn together.
