Curiosity about brindling

Patty,
 I don't know if this is up your alley or not...Just rescued a puppy from the humane society.  He's a 1 year old "impure" breed.  He's deffinitely part English Pointer....not sure what the other part(s) is(are).  
He's got a BEAUTIFUL short shiny coat, it is brindled.  This leads me to my question - besides Boxers and bulldogs, what breeds can/will brindle - this will help narrow our search down, I believe.
