Sam is a rescue that I adopted through TarTan 6+/- yrs ago (just turned 8). He was an owner surrender because he was so hyper.  He'd also been quite abused and has taken years to gain any confidence and not be fearful all the time.  He originally came from the Springset lines, but was sold through a pet store in Albany for HUGE bucks.

Boo is a retired show dog who was a gift after my first GS died of old age.  Her real name is Ch Hollyhollow Black Magic Woman a/k/a Taboo.  She was only shown for a couple of years til she finished and made a pet because of some issues between multiple owners. Plus it's my understanding that she was the only pup with a good temperment from her litter. She's just a big ole dork and is now 7 yrs old.

My first GS was one I found in my local pound when she was less than a year old. She was a stray, and I later came to realize she was definately bench bred. Daisy lived to be 15 and crossed the Bridge in May of 2004.

So, I've been owned by these big, loving dorks for quite a while.

I sort of remember Sam being placed, and the situation. I am of course a member of TarTan. As far as Boo goes, I know Sue Linhares, but don't remember the breeding at all. It is an interesting story I'm sure. I am glad she has found a home with you. Where in NYS are you located? Are you interested in joining TarTan? Or even meeting up with some other Gordon people? In any case, it is gratifying that both these dogs have a loving home. Thank you for that.
