all night whining and crying

I recently adopted a tiny 8 week old peke/poodle/chi mixed breed dog from the local humane society.  She was being fostered with her sister in somebodies home.  We are in the process of potty traing etc which she is doing pretty good.  Our big concern is how to comfort her at night.  As soon as we put her in the crate she starts immediately with high pitched crying and whining.  This goes on pretty much all night.  I also have a Min Pin which did the same  at first but it did not seem so intense. I was wondering what i can do so that our new little girl is not so scared and stressed. It is very upsetting to hear her so distressed.  Any help would be appreciated

Well what you can try is to try putting the crate in your bedroomm,as that often makes the puppy feel less alone

something else you can try is to make the puppy tired by playing with her for about 20 minutes or so before bedtime,as a tried puppy will usualy just sleep
