Winter Coats

Hi there!
I was just wondering if the growth of the dog's winter coat can cause them to be itchy? After about 1/2 of my dog's underside was shaved for spaying, she itched terribly when the hairs were growing back, which I was told was to be expected. Does this same itching take place when she begins to grow her winter coat? She isn't itching yet but wondering if that was in store for the coming months! FYI, she is a Leonberger mix.

Thanks for your question.  Yes they may itch just depending on the dog really.  If she starts itchy be sure you get her conditioned either at home or by a groomer because the hair will start to mat up if it is not taken out by brushing or by conditioning.  Hope this helps.  Let me know if you need anything else.
