American pit bull terrier

My name is anooj.I would like to have an American pit bull terrier,can i import it from Canada.i would like to Know whether its possible to import a dog from there.Currently i have Rotweiler.i like  dogs.If there are chance of getting Pit bull from European countries,i would like to import.I think in India pit bulls are not available.Plz sir let me if there are any chance of getting dogs.

Yes,you can probably get these dogs from Canada as they are popular here but note that American Pit Bull Terriers are banned from the Provence of Ontario in Canada,as well as in the UK-so be aware not to even try to get that breed from those places,but you can still get them from other provinces and European countries,although some European countries also have restrictions on the breed,also be aware of the planes flight path,even landing in such places can lead to the dog being sent back or even killed

Also you would have to find out from different air lines what there rules are for pets,and also note the dog may have to be Quarantined before being released to you,depending on your countries rules regarding that,and such things are for all dogs not just that breed
