QuestionI have an eleven month old boxer. When we first got her our jobs kept both of us away from the house for more then ten hours a day. We also have a two year old lab who is also crate trained. It was expected of the new puppy to make a mess after such a long time in the crate, but she is still making messes after only being in the crate for maybe six to seven hours. Sometimes she goes through stages where she won't make a mess after being in the crate for ten to eleven hours, then she back to making a mess again. She is good when she is out of the cage. We are just at our wits end with this. I really need your help and any advice you can offer.
Thank you,
Mary
AnswerWell what you can if you have time in the morning to take her for a walk before crating her, that will often stimulate them to go
But if you don't have time for that, send her outside for an hour or so,in that time she should be able to go
You might also want to look into a pet sitter,or someone that can come in the middle of the day to let her out,try that for about 2 months then stop doing that and see if that works
