Question
Hi, I have just recieved a golden retriever puppy recently. However, my parents want her to be kept in the garage, and I have listened to them for the past month. Is there any way I can persuade my parents to let her in our house, because golden retrievers are family dogs? Their main problem is shedding and her chewing on furniture. On the contrary, she does not chew all that much, and when we tell her to stop, she will. Is there any way to persuade my parents? I am starting school soon, so I want my puppy to live in the house as soon as possible so I can housetrain her before school rolls around. Thank you!

Answer
Tell your parents that locking the dog in the garage or outside is bad for the dog and may actually cause seperation anxiety issues or even aggression after a time. it is better to buy a crate and put the dog in it in the house when you cant watch here. if any more questions, let me know
thanks
