Question
Hi Charlotte,
I have 2 babies (a lab/pit mix, and a terrier mix) and upon reading topics on this site, I have became very aware of the serverity of foxtails. I saw one topics that said that are mainly west of Mississippi, but I am in middle Georgia (Warner Robins to be exact) and I am just wanting to know how likely my girls will run into a foxtail...

Thanks in advance!

Answer
Hi Brandon;
I never knew that plant was called a foxtail. I used to play with them when I was a kid.
We would put one in our hand, with the sharp end pointed out. You put it right where your hands meet when you oput the little finger sides together. Wriggle your hands back and forth, and the foxtail will crawl.
I never knew thet were harmful to dogs.
I looked them uop and found this site. I thought it would be better to just send you the site ( written by a Veterinarian) so you could read it for yourself, and then know what to ask your Vet.
