You should contact a veterinarian immediately. Products like Advantix can cause central nervous system reactions - it's very rare, but its possible.

The safest and most effective flea and tick control method is Frontline.  Advantix, Advantage, and others even have warnings on the boxes about the potential danger to your pets. Frontline's main ingredient is different - it is Fipronil, and it is stored in the sebaceous glands of your dog's skin for about 30 days. It is effective on fleas, ticks, and lice, but Fipronil does not affect your dog at all. In tests, vials and vials of Frontline have been fed to dogs without seeing any clinical reaction - and though I certainly don't recommend trying that at home, it is a testament to how safe the product is.
