Question
our rides in the back of our truck and the other day we had a gas can which he knock over and got it all over himself, he acted very strangely, we wash it off the best we could, but could he lose hair over this situation?

Answer
Teri,

It's possible, gasoline is an irritant and a toxin.  If you haven't already, use dog shampoo and shampoo the coat twice and follow with a conditioner.

I recommend that you take him to the vet asap since gas can be absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream.

Thanks for the question and take care,
