eye solution

I have two male pitbulls.  The younger one of the two has recenlty had alot of puss or gunk in his eyes.  Is there any home remedy we can use to clean his eyes?  We have also looked online for natural eye drops, like a salin solution for dogs.  Can you recomend any good sites that we would be able to trust?  Thank you in advance.

Hi, My Labrador retreiver...'Haylie' gets gunky eyes on avrage once a year but right now she has had running eyes for a while and the Polysporn people eye drops just are helping this time so shes going in to the vets shortly. She had really bad gluey eyes aboutr a year ago adn needed prescription eye ointment via the vets...if the eyes are sticking together with the gunk then a vet is needed. You can for sure try Plysporin people eye drops for mild eye problems it works well such as small amounts of yellow gunk coming from th eyes but for really bad ones a vet is highly reccomended before they get infected. I dont really read sites on home remidies but my dogs have had some many problems (must be because of there breeding they are not papered and from newspaper ads beucase they are indoor dogs fed a preium diet this must be the reason they have had some many vet trips). But do check with your vet if you think its relaly bad or getting worse also if teh dogs are pawing there eyes they should see a vet.
