cockapoo puppy spaying

I have booked my cockapoo puppy's spaying just after she turn's 6 months. Will I have avoided her coming into heat for the first time or should I move the surgery up sooner?

Hello, This is perfectly ok but if she does come into heat earlier you would have to either deal with a whole two weeks cycle or spay her while shes in heat which would be more risky and costly. I had my last dog spayed at 8 months....she hadnt come in heast by this time and after the surgery I was told her ovries were iregular.
