Question
Hi, I've got a 4-month old rottweiler pup that wont stop whining everytime i leaver her alone in my room..i've only had her for a week and so i guess she's scared since its the first time she's separated from her mother.. do u have any suggestions on what i should do?

Answer
Hi Saad;
Yes, she is lonely and probably a little frightened.
I have heard old time clkocks that tick simulate their mother's heartbeat and will sooth a puppy some, but I always slept with my dogs, so I never tried it.
It wouild be best if you could have someone stay with her, or arrange to be with her more.
A week is too soon for her to get used to her new surroundings and be left alone.
When I had a yound puppy, and had to leave her to go to work, I left the radio on. She liked music, and I had a lot of SAFE toys for her to play with.
Kong toys are good, and so are Nyla Bones.
They give then something firm to chew on to hlp with the chewing, and provide the jaw strengthening exercises, and they can't be bitten off in pieces the dog can choke on.
They can chew them, toss them around, and keep themselves occupied.
How long are you leaving her?
