Is this right? Feeding your dog a onion is bad for it?

Hi Nathan :-)

Nope feeding a Dog a Onion is not bad for it but it isn't very benficial Vitamin wise because it contains none of the Vitamins or Minerals your Dog will require on a daily basis.

As a one off it wont cause any problems but his breath may smell pretty awful for a few days. Give your Dog a lot of fluids to drink (water only) as this will stop him from becomming dehydrated. Onions can sometimes cause mild dehydration in Dogs but nothing major.
