My pit bull terrior is pregnant

19 10:25:03

Question
My pit is, or was due, what I thought to be by the 15 or 21 of this month. She had been staying outside, but yesterday we brought her in. We once had a dog outside that had parvo so we didn't want the pups born outside. Anyways, I noticed she ate twice the amount I had known her to eat yesterday morning and drank water like she couldn't get enough, throughout the day. She also was breathing really hard, and would follow me around. Whenever she would move around she also would begin to pant. This morning she has not yet ate,but did take a piece of cheese my three year old gave her, so graciously. She also has not touched her water. I don't have a thermometer so I cant take her temp.I am wondering could she be getting ready for labor. Could I be wrong about her due date. I also noticed she is just sleeping all day.

Answer
Janice-

Yes, its possible that she is in the first stages of labor. Did you witness the tying and correctly mark the calender? If 63 days is the 21st from the first tie, then I would be very concerned about the viability of the puppies should she be going into labor, and a trip to the vet would be highly recommended at this point.

I hope things work out!
