air pockets in my dogs ears

My dog has what feels like air pockets in his ears flaps. I have looked on the internet and the only thing that i can find thats even close is hemotomas but it does not feel like fluid it feels more like air. the one in his left ear is quite large and in his right ear he has 2 but they are both small... any ideas im really really worried.

Hi Katie,

I don't think a living creature can develop air pockets under the skin. Your dog probably has the hematomas you've been reading about on line.

You should have your dog examined by your vet. Ear hematomas generally require professional treatment to heal properly and without disfiguration.
