Nervous GSD

Question
Hi,
I rescued 8 month German Shepherd from County shelter about 18 months ago.
He is a good and obedience dog at home. He knows sit/down/stay/come commands. He never show any aggression toward family member. My son/daughter can lie down on him while  he is lying down he doesn't mind. When I took him for a walk he is aggressive with other dog and stranger but he listens to me if I said "No, Leave It" and keep walking, he is not going to lunge or bark. But the problem is he is very nervous, especially if I walk with a family member. He pulls and wants to walk in the front, he doesn't care about how much correction you gave him. I walk him everyday 45'-1 hour. When he walks only with me he's not pulling, but you can still see he is nervous.

My question is; can the nervousness be cured? or this is the genetic and cannot be cured.
Please advice.
Thanks,
Wisan

Answer
The best way would be to take him to a trainer, nervous dogs can actually get confidence from obedience training-so call around a number of trainers and tell them what your dog is like and go with the trainer that you like the sounds of best

Trainers can work wonders on dogs like this,so he is not a lost cause
