Question
Hi,
I love animals,I have 3 dogs. 1 rat terrier-male,1 cockerspaniel/terrier mix-male, and a german shepard/lab mix -female. They were all rescue dogs and they've been together for a while. The two bigger dogs stay outside (male and female). When Karma"female" gets in heat she bleeds alot, and get agressive with the smaller male and becaomes attached to the bigger one. Even though the male is too short to penetrate her,I'm afraid to leave them together alone all day. Should I seperate the male and female while she is in heat?

Absolutely!!!! My girlfriends tiny peke bred an Australian Shepherd.  The female Aussie had lain down and the Peke got her.  My grandfather saw a full size collie backed up to a metal garbage can and a toy poodle mounted her on top of the can.
SO SEPARATE THEM!!! LOL
