Question
I had my male dog neutered May 2, 2009, and today he hooked up with my female!!! How is this possible?

Answer
The only thing that no longer "functions" after a male is neutered is that he no longer produces sperm. He can still breed. As the testosterone lessens in his body over time, he won't be quite as interested in breeding, unless the bitch gets right under his nose and taunts him.

You should have spayed your bitch instead as that is 100% effective, and much healthier for her, too, as it prevents pyometra (uterine infection).
