hi i have a 18 month old alsation he has a sore on his paw we have had a look at it an there is a lump there an it has started bleeding a few times have you got any advice what we can do with it

Hi Mandy,

Your best bet for a diagnosis and treatment lies with a veterinarian.

Until your dog can be seen by a doctor, keep the area clean by washing it with soap and water, and drying it well. If your dog will allow it, use a hair drier set on low to dry the paw, rather than rubbing it with a towel. Then apply an antibiotic ointment to the lump and the surrounding area. You can do this twice a day, hopefully you can have your dog examined soon!
