mouth injury

My dog seems to have hurt his mouth he will not let me even attempt to open it to see what is wrong

Answer
It is too bad that you never taught your dog to allow you to do anything to him that you want to do. This might have been something that you could have resolved on your own, but now you must take him into the veterinarian to determine what the problem might be. He could have a bad tooth, something stuck in his mouth, or have injured his tongue. Get him in ASAP!
