Question
Thank you for your timely response. How much of each item would I have to mix in? Approximately? And will it be ok if my other dogs ate that too, even though they arent Yorkies? (They share their food).

-----Question-----
I have a small yorkie, she weighs about 3 1/2 pounds (when wet, lol). She will be turning 2 on the 4th of July. He hair is still short. It has not reached the ground yet. Is there something that we are doing wrong? When does the hair typically reach the floor? What can we do about this? Could it be a problem with the breeder? Please help, I'm very confused.
-----Answer-----
Vanessa,
Hair is genetic, if your dog's ancestors don't have good hair, she may not either.  However, if you want to do what the show people do. then feed a high quality dog food, plus chopped meat (hamburger meat) mixed with some oatmeal and wheat germ (a drop) and omega 3 fatty acids.  A good quality dog food for this purpose would be Bill Jack

this is for a large amount, you freeze it in small meatballs so you can defrost it and feed it daily

5 lb hamburger meat
3 cups bran flakes
5 cups oatmeal
2 1/2 cups of wheat germ
5 envelopes gelatin
5 TB of oil any kind
5 TB of Molasses
5 eggs
1 cup flaxseed
mix everything together make into small meatballs and freeze
you can feed it that way or cook it up in a frypan or nuke it in a little water.
