Worms??

Question
I recently purchased my puppy from a breeder. She is 7 weeks old. She was treaded form worms before I received her and I have also been giving her medication for them. This was just a preventative measure, I had no reason to beleive that she even had worms. Recently, however, I saw very flat white things on the tip of her poop. When I took a closer look, I saw them moving. I looked online to try and figure out what they might be, however, I could not find anything that resembled what I saw. My question is, do you think that it is a tapeworm, even though, to me did not look like it. If so, should I simply continue the meds or should I take her to the vet?
Thank You

Answer
It could be just that the deworming treatment is working and what you are seeing is the result of the worms being expelled from her body. Alot of that depends on the kind of worm meds you are using. What are you using? Some worm meds are just not very good.
I've never heard of a puppy NOT having worms at birth. I know a few years ago one of the larger dog food companies had a completely worm free bitch deliver pups in a sterile environment as a test to see if the pups still were born with worms,. and guess what, they were. Not a sign of a poor  breed. It's good that your breeder is taking responsiblity and taking care of the pups. Seven weeks old is a bit young and much better to wait until a pup is eight weeks of age.
Fill me in on your wom meds and I'll advise you further
