Question
I have a 14 year old Shih Tzu who over the past 2 years has developed stiffness and weakness in both of his back legs.  He has trouble walking and falls down a lot because of this weakness.  He just eats & sleeps & has no interest in playing anymore.  Our vet has taken x-rays and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with his spine or legs.  She thinks it might be something neurological.  At his age is it worth having more procedures done to investigate this problem since I really don't want to do surgery?

Answer
Hi Sue, for your boy I would just try some natural options.  We can use a few supplements to give him PUPPY energy and help to reduce any inflammation in the spinal/hip area.
He is a senior citizen and you don't want to put him through too much.

Here are my recommendations for your baby:

NuVET Plus supplement / Give this kid some PUPPY energy. Also, helps the hips, legs and joints... Reduces pain and inflammation.
Please start this baby on 1 1/2  per day.  NuVET makes a wafer or a powder.
1000s of shih tzu dogs take 1  NuVET per day-  Or 1 teaspoon per day of the powder.
