My pug was six years old and died in his sleep????  He was fat but happy and was playing and swimming up until the end. It was sudden what is the average life of a pug that is overweight?

Sorry to hear of your loss.  It is very hard to lose a pet.

It is really impossible to tell what your pug died if without an autopsy.  It may not have had anything to do with his weight.

The average age of a pug is between 12 and 14 years old.  I do not think being overweight would shorten the life expectancy by half.
